Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does HPLC purity testing detect in a SARM sample?

Reversed-phase HPLC quantifies the relative abundance of each UV-absorbing species in the sample. For a SARM submitted as a single-compound powder or solution, the primary peak area is reported as a percentage of total integrated area — representing chromatographic purity. The analysis also reveals the presence and relative proportion of impurity peaks, degradation products, and unknown components, providing a detailed picture of the sample's analytical composition.

Is purity the same as identity? How do I confirm I have the correct compound?

Purity and identity are distinct measurements. Chromatographic purity tells you what fraction of the detected material corresponds to the primary peak, but cannot by itself confirm the molecular identity of that peak. For identity confirmation, ANALITIKA uses retention-time comparison against a certified reference standard for the declared compound. Where a reference standard is available and a match is confirmed, the COA explicitly states that the primary peak is consistent with the declared compound.

Can ANALITIKA test SARMs in solution form as well as powder?

Yes. SARMs submitted dissolved in research-grade solvents — commonly DMSO, ethanol, or polyethylene glycol — can be analyzed directly. The solvent composition and approximate concentration should be declared at submission so the method can be appropriately adjusted. ANALITIKA's reversed-phase method is compatible with most common research solvents at typical dilution levels; we will advise if a specific matrix presents interference concerns.

What information appears on the COA for a SARM?

The Certificate of Analysis includes the compound name as submitted, the sample reference number, the analytical method applied (HPLC-UV, with the detection wavelength noted), the chromatographic purity result expressed as a percentage, retention time, and a summary of all detected peaks with their relative areas. The COA carries ANALITIKA's standard disclaimer confirming that results are for research-use and research-related purposes only.
